Refugee crisis: ‘A more holistic and long-term vision is needed’ argues Greens Group

Today, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will pay an extraordinary joint visit to the Parliament where they will discuss the current situation in the European Union and the way forward on migration, still at the core of every EU debate. Richard More O’Ferrall, Greens group spokesperson, hopes that this will be the occasion for the Union to find more holistic ways to tackle the refugee crisis, create new visions for overhauling the asylum seekers relocation scheme, thus far proven inconsistent, and overcome the lack of unity with EU Member States.
