EU Tweets of the Week: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly – 8 January 2016

Jennifer Baker presents EU Tweets of the Week, looking at the good, the bad and the ugly in the European Union Twittersphere this week:

  • Most debated: Poland has proposed a new controversial media law that would give the government control of the media.
  • The good: The Dutch are taking over the Council Presidency for the next six months.
  • The bad: New Year, New EU? Not really. The refugee crisis is still sadly in full swing and more and more EU countries are closing their borders
  • The ugly: Will they or won’t they: The Twittersphere is agog at the possibility of a 10,000 character long tweet!
