No Pressure Involved in Ukraine-Russia Peace Talk Negotiation – Zelenskyy
The United States and European officials discussed privately the possible Ukraine-Russia peace talk negotiation.
Under No Pressure on Ukraine-Russia Peace Talk Negotiation
The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has claimed millions of lives and is still counting. European officials together with the US, started talking privately with Ukraine about a workable Ukraine-Russia peace talk negotiation.
The supposed confabulation would encompass an extensive outline of what Ukraine might need to concede to reach an agreement with Russia.
“Everyone knows my attitude, which coincides with the attitude of Ukrainian society. No one is putting pressure on me today. All this was at the beginning of the war and before the war. Currently, no one from the leaders of the EU or the United States is putting pressure (on us),” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He added that they won’t sit down with Russia, discuss, and give something. It means that such negotiations are impossible at the moment.
War with Russia Not a Stalemate
Some US officials say the Russia-Ukraine war has reached a stalemate. Moreover, there are concerns regarding how much aid countries can continuously provide Ukraine. EU officials hinted they can’t compensate should Washington discontinue support for Kyiv.
For almost 20 months, Ukraine has been resisting Russia since its invasion in February 2022. The former has a funding crisis because of interruptions in planned aid from the US.
Scepticism also adds regarding when will Europe exactly deliver its next big package of aid. Such intervals could endanger Kyiv to a 2024 budget deficit. Such a shortage could cause consternation in Ukraine.
Zelenskyy debunked the notion the war with Russia has reached a deadlock. He retaliated at claims the conflict was becoming more rigid. Additionally, he rebuffed US media reports that Western officials embarked on the issue of possible peace arrangements with the Ukrainian government.
“Of course, it’s clear that the war in the Middle East, this conflict, is taking away the focus. We have already been in very difficult situations when there was almost no focus on Ukraine. I am absolutely sure we will overcome this challenge,” Zelenskyy said.
