European Parliament Plenary Session Highlight: Brexit

During the January 16 European Parliament plenary hearing, the topic of Brexit was the most long-awaited one. Following the UK House of Commons’ meaningful vote, MEPs underlined that Europeans will remain united and that citizens’ rights are still the EP’s priority. Michel Barnier, the European Chief Negotiator for Brexit, said that a compromise was reached and it was up to the  UK to “clarify how it wishes to proceed.”
