Safe Harbor Agreement: ‘EU private data sharing with the US legislatively unbalanced’, argues the Greens group
The European Court of Justice (ECJ) is to release today a highly anticipated judgement on whether EU citizens’ data shared with the US in the framework of the Safe Harbor Agreement are, actually, safe. The Parliament has repeatedly demanded the Commission to put an end to this Agreement. The Greens group hopes that the ECJ will deem said data sharing illegal, forcing the Commission, that has thus far ignored MEPs’ plea, to revoke the Safe Harbor Agreement.
