Philippines: EU releases emergency aid, explains Commission spokeswoman

The European Commission announced that the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (EUCP) has been activated to ensure coordinated European relief efforts. 3 million euros of emergency funds have also been made available for immediate humanitarian needs of the population in the worst affected areas.
