EU punishes Switzerland: freezes research grants and Swiss involvement in Erasmus

Cornelia Primosch is joined by Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, spokeswoman of the European Commission, to discuss EU-Switzerland relations in light of the recent Swiss decision not to open its labour market access to Croatia.

In return, the EU has decided to freeze research grants in the context of the EU Horizon 2020 programme and to suspend the involvement of Switzerland in the Erasmus student exchange programme.
