Bratušek set to be rejected by MEPs, claims ENVI Chair Giovanni La Via

In an exclusive interview with viEUws, Giovanni La Via – Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) – tells leading energy & environment journalist Sonja van Renssen that MEPs will probably reject Commissioner-designate Alenka Bratušek after her hearing by the European Parliament on 6 October.

La Via underlines that the Commissioner-designate for Energy UnionAlenka Bratušek made some serious mistakes and performed badly in general. The ENVI Chair claims that none of the political groups in Parliament appear to support Bratušek’s candidacy, the Committee plans to vote on Bratušek on 8 October.
